Kettlebells are an incredibly versatile training tool.  They can be used to build power, strength, endurance, muscle, and to lose fat.  All in one cool looking piece of iron.

Today I want to share 3 of the top kettlebell exercises for fat loss that we use at bootcamp:

Carson City Bootcamp Fat Loss Exercise One: Kettlbell Swing

For Fat Loss nothing beats the kettlebell swing.  For people that spend most of their day sitting – either at a desk or behind the wheel of a car – the swing balances out the forward neck, hunched back, weak core, and tight hips caused by it.

The powerful hip extension from the swing works lots of your posterior muscles (butt, hamstrings, low back) and raises your metabolism from the anaerobic training effect.

Carson City Bootcamp Fat Loss Exercise Two: Kettlebell Snatch

The kettbell snatch is a phenomenal exercise for power, endurance, and fat loss.

The snatch is used to test Secret Service Agents to determine their fitness levels.

It combines the power of the swing with an overhead element to take the swing to a whole new level.

Carson City Bootcamp Fat Loss Exercise Three: Get Up

It seems like such a simple exercise at first: Stand up with a kettlebell held straight overhead.

But the kettlbell get up is a total body exercise – making it perfect for fat loss (work more muscles, burn more calories).

The first time I did the Get Up I was shaking like a leaf and the next day I was so sore I could hardly move :)
