How To Write For Weight Loss

Uncategorized No Comments »

Special guest article by Leigh Peele

1.Grab a pen and paper.

2.Write down goals that you have achieved in the past towards your fitness and body comp. Not what you are trying to achieve but what you already have achieved.

Need some ideas?

-Stuck to a pre-made meal plan the whole day

-Did every workout I planned to the whole week

-Finished reading a great book on fitness and health

-Came up with a healthy and fast meal

-Help educate others on proper nutrition

3. Write underneath the goal how achieving that made you feel and what you learned.

Example:

Goal Achieved-I created 1 weeks worth of meals plans for my fat loss goal and stuck to it the whole week without failure.

Feeling about goal-I felt great! I not only stuck to my set goal and felt accomplished in that, but I lost 1lb of fat that week and made good strength increases.

Lesson Learned-That I can stick to a plan, it was really hard some of the time, but I did do it and I am a little proud of myself.

4. For the next week repeat as many of those goals as possible.

Sometimes we get so caught up in achieving a goal that we see completing that goal as the end, when really it should be the start to doing it all over again. For example, Fat loss is just achieving one good day over and over again.

A do over is just another chance to do it..

Have You Ever Done A Detox?

Every day you’re exposed to dangerous toxins.

In fact, over 300,000 new chemicals are introduced into our environment every year…

…with catastrophic health concerns for you and me!

They come from…

* Pesticides in your food that are making you fatter, sicker, and more tired!

* Hormones, antibiotics and drugs used on milk cows and cattle!

* Skin care products that are fast tracking known cancer-causing impurities into your bloodstream!

* Even the clothes you wear harbor contaminants that enter your body!

Fortunately your body is actually designed to filter out foreign toxins.

——————————-

But there’s a problem…

——————————-

It was NEVER designed to deal with such SUPER-HIGH levels of poisons we face each day in our industrialized world!

So what happens is, your body ends up “storing” these toxins in and around your body.

They’re stored in your fat cells… in your colon and other organs… even in your brain!

These encapsulated toxins slowly deteriorate your health and can cause all sorts of problems such as:

* Increased Weight Gain

* Low testosterone in men

* Acid reflux

* Irritable Bowel Syndrome

* Increased risk of breast cancer

* Back pain

* And even just the aches and pains you think are “normal”.

So how can you get rid of these harmful poisons hidden in your body, slowly destroying your health?

The best way is to “clean them out” with a DETOX.

Done the right way, detoxing can actually REVERSE the damage done by your exposure to harmful toxins.

——————————-

What’s a “detox”?

——————————-

It’s basically a way to remove the hidden poisons deposited in your body using all-natural means.

Although it’s become all the rage in Hollywood, detoxing is easy to do if you have the right plan.

Sadly, slick supplement companies have been marketing extreme detox programs that are miserable to do…and can do more harm than good!

For a 7 step detox plan that actually works, follow the 7 steps in this post: Super 7 Step Detox Diet

3 Reasons Your Fat Loss Plan Isn’t Working

Uncategorized No Comments »

By special guest Leigh Peele

Why do I say still?

Recently there has been a lot of talk of the importance of counting calories and measuring your intake. Who thinks though that it could possibly be that simple? If it were REALLY that simple what am I doing selling not one but two books on the subject?

These are the reasons it isn’t that simple.

Reason #1-Your Calories are Right, But Your Burn Isn’t

You may be counting your calories right but your idea of what your burn is can be so off that you are just spinning your wheels. Did you know that your burn can range from 60 calories an hr to 500 calories an hr depending on factors beyond just that of weight and gender? In my book theFat Loss Troubleshoot I help explain how to really gauge your activity and not only that but make the best of it.

Reason #2-You Have Been Doing This Too Long.

You CAN diet too much. You CAN train to hard.  No you CAN’T defy the laws of energy, but, that doesn’t mean you can’t screw up your laws of energy.  If you find yourself in the position of trying to lose 10 pounds for 3 years, then it might be time to look into some real metabolism boosting. In the Metabolic Repair Manual you can see step by step how your metabolism works, how the slow down really happens, and what to do to reverse it.

Reason #3-All Glory, No Guts.

It is 100% acceptable that you don’t want to do this. It is reasonable that you do not want to physically burn layers of your body off from the inside. I mean when you think about that it is pretty wicked! Who wants to do that?! However, when it is all said and done you either do this or you don’t. You either want it or you don’t. Don’t fear jumping in, just don’t dive in head first into shallow water.

We aren’t owed glory. Luck happens, glory is earned.

Magic Fat Loss Bullet

Uncategorized No Comments »

“The closest thing to a magic bullet?
Good post workout nutrition.”
- Alwyn Cosgrove, Wold Renowned Fat Loss Coach

Recovery nutrition is a VERY hot topic in the fitness world. Researchers have found that a simple combination of protein and carbs improve exercise performance, body composition, and health. Studies also show that lean muscle “tones up” with a recovery drink, a great benefit from this one simple switch…

What types of nutrients am I talking about? The best are a liquid supplement with rapidly-digested protein and carbohydrates. No fancy ingredients – all you need to do is drink it at the right time.

When you time it right, you get the following benefits from your recovery drink:

  1. Improved recovery from exercise, including better performance in your next workout
  2. Less Muscle soreness
  3. Increased ability to build lean tissue
  4. Improved immune system (since your body doesn’t stay in a catabolic state)
  5. Improved bone mass and reduced risk of osteoporosis
  6. IMPROVED FAT BURNING

What type of drink should you choose?

Easy, just look for a formulated recovery drink that contains fast-digesting carbs (dextrose/glucose) and fast-digesting protein (whey).

Wait, wait, wait… isn’t sugar bad? Well, no. There’s not many universally “good” or “bad” foods. Just good or bad times to eat them.

This one time – right after your workout – sugar offers some cool benefits. The rest of the day though, you’ll want to avoid it.

So if you’re serious about your health and achieving your weight loss goals, make sure you’re taking care of your post-workout nutrition.

Eric Robinson – Carson City Personal Trainer

Uncategorized, Weight Loss Comments Off

Hey gang, I asked my new trainer to fill out a bio for  us, and check it out, he lost 80 pounds!

~ Luke

—————————————————————————————————————————–

Name: Eric Robinson

Hometown: Carson City, born and raised

Passion: Personal Training (expert in motivation, nutrition, and exercise)

Height: 6’3″

Weight: 205

Aso Enjoy: Music, Motorcycles, and FITNESS

I went to highschool here in carson and wrestled varsity for the local team (Go Big Blue!). Once I graduated High School I scored a job for Wells Fargo doing mortgages and made good money while I was doing it. The problem was that I got complacent without sports in my life and started eating one or 2 meals a day at fast food restaraunts (did you know a breakfast sandwich, hashbrowns and a soda takes you well over 1000 calories?!?) and that was all it took.

taco bell motivator

It was like I didn’t even notice as I slowly climbed and climbed up the scale numbers. One day I looked in the mirror and I had stretch marks on my love handles and the scale had a whopping 280!

I knew I had to do SOMETHING for my own sake (and my girlfriend’s) so I hired a trainer who taught me the basics. I still remember that first shopping trip, I had a notepad and a calculator and it took 3 hours to get all the right stuff because all my trainer told me was the appropriate AMOUNT of calories, he didn’t tell me where to find them. After training with him for almost a year I had lost about 20 pounds of fat and gained a bunch of muscle and I felt like I could handle it from there. Once I was out on my own, something just CLICKED man, I dialed in on my diet, shopping was instinctual and I started eating the things I liked to eat.

Within about 2-3 months I lost another 60 pounds!

I knew the rules and when to bend them, and I had great strategies to stay motivated and keep me at the gym.

The reason I brought this up is that once I read over “THE WOLD FITNESS NUTRITION PLAN” that my buddy Luke gave me the other day, I was amazed at how similar it was to the way I lost all that weight so fast, the balance of calories was right on and I KNOW you ‘re getting some SERIOUS results over at Wold fitness with the way you’re guiding your clients. I’m stoked to be a part of this, I love fitness and I LOVE helping people acheive their fitness goals!!

———————————————————————————————————————————-

Hey Guys, it’s Luke again.

Eric is going to be training here in the late morning and afternoon.  I know lots of people have asked about a lunchtime or afternoon workout, now you’ll have that opportunity!

He’s a freaking AWESOME trainer and he’ll be using all of the PROVEN methods of the Wold Fitness Unstoppable Fitness Formula to get you lean, toned, and sexy so fast your friends won’t believe it.

To work out with me in a semi-private group is $45 per session.  To hire me for one-on-one is $147/hour.  But I know times are hard for a lot of people, and they might be hard for you.  It’s certainly hard for a lot of other businesspeople out here.

Well, here’s what Eric and I are going to do.  I want you to come in for a free consultation with Eric.  Try a workout with him.

And if you don’t think that our Unstoppable Fitness Formula is exactly what you need to get into shape, I’ll give you a free at-home workout manual and meal plan just for coming in.

And what’s more, for his first 20 clients, Eric is going to train you for ONLY 15 A SESSION!

Why are we doing this?  Because even though Eric freakin’ rocks, not everyone in Carson City knows it.  So after he helps 20 people fit back into their skinny jeans in just a few weeks, he’ll have more clients than he can handle.

So if you want to try a workout, and maybe get personal training at an unheard-of deal, give me a call at 509-945-3856 and I’ll tell you all about it.

Talk to you soon,

Straight Truth About National Chain Clubs Like Golds Gym Carson City

Uncategorized No Comments »

Why National Health Clubs & Gyms Such As Golds Gym Carson City May Not Be The Best Option If You Really Want To Achieve Your Fitness Goals – Permanently!!

Many Carson City fitness seekers look at a national fitness chain such as Gold’s Gym In Carson City as a great option for their fitness needs. Sadly, these over-hyped fitness centers fail to provide the best fitness solution to their overcharged, underserved members.

Carson City Gold’s Gym Is Not A Value For Value Exchange

By going to a Carson City chain of Gold’s Gym, you will be receiving an uneven exchange. While you will pay the gym service a lot of money for their Carson City fitness services, you will receive far less in return. Unlike working with a Carson City personal trainer, you will not be receiving the best end of the trade.

Carson City Gold’s Gym Plays Into The Fitness Stereotype

Gold’s Gym is one of the many national chains that use stereotypes to advertise to the residents of Carson City.

For example, they make it seem that achieving a top of the line body (as seen in their commercials) is an easy process that a Gold’s Gym membership will give you in a short amount of time.

In reality, as a Carson City personal trainer would tell you, there is more to this process than the commercials lead you to believe.

Carson City Fitness Specialization For Ultimate Results

A personal fitness trainer will be more specialized in the fitness trade than a hired employee at Gold’s Gym. The requirements for employment at a place such as Gold’s Gym of Carson City are low compared to the credentials of an independent Carson City personal trainer.

A big reason for this is that the Carson City personal fitness trainer has to work harder to show that his or her service is better than that of a national corporation such as Gold’s Gym.

Carson City Golds Gym FAIL #1: A Carson City Personal Trainer Is Safer

It is much safer to enlist the services of a personal trainer in Carson City than to use the services of Gold’s Gym.

  • Since most personal Carson City trainers are unknown compared to a company such as Gold’s Gym, they are less likely to be robbed during business hours.
  • Since the Carson City personal trainer will be working with you individually (or sometimes in a small group), you do not have to worry about your personal effects being stolen.
  • A local Carson Cityfitness trainer will not cause you to go bankrupt.

Of course the last item was thrown in as a laugh but it is true. The price that you will have to pay for the “service” at Gold’s Gym is deadly compared to the price that you will have to pay a Carson City personal trainer.

Carson City Golds Gym FAIL #2: There Is No Commitment To A Carson City Personal Trainer

Unlike a place such as the Gold’s Gym of Carson City or any other Carson City Gym, Carson City Health Club, or Carson City Fitness Center you will not have to sign your soul over to a Carson City fitness trainer.

If you are unhappy with the services of the fitness trainer, then you can quit using their service. On the other hand, you will still have to pay for a full multi-year membership to Gold’s Gym even if you are unhappy with the service and have no plans to visit the Carson City Gold’s Gym location again.

Carson City Golds Gym FAIL #3: Carson City’s Gold’s Gym Cannot Compete With A Carson City Personal Trainer

Even though a company such as the Gold’s Gym of Carson City has a larger gym than a personal trainer in Carson City, it is unable to compete with the service and expertise provided by a personal trainer. A Carson City fitness trainer uses training resources more efficiently, giving you better results and allowing you to reach your fitness goals faster than that of a company such as Gold’s Gym that doesn’t want you to reach your fitness goals so that you will continue to pay to use their expensive service.

5 Dirty Secrets Big Carson City Health Clubs Don’t Want You To Know About ALL Health Clubs In Carson City

Find Out About The Little Known And Rarely Talked About Facts About Big Carson City Health Clubs. Discover The 5 Scary (Yet True) Facts You Need To Know Before Setting Foot In A Mega-Gym…

1. Big Health Clubs Don’t Care If You Show Up

The sad fact is, the January “Resolution Rush” starts with a cash surge for the big Carson City Health Clubs And Fitness Centers and ends with the same amount of members showing up as there were in the previous December.

Well intentioned people make fitness goals and end up locked-in to Carson City Health Club Contracts, then the crowded, dirty gym sucks away their motivation and they stop going.

This is what Health Clubs In Carson City expect, for you to trip up on your plan and never come back, however, you’ll keep paying the bill even though you don’t show up.  (Most health clubs would go out of business if more than 3% of their members used the club each month!)

2. Trainers At Carson City Health Clubs Don’t Know What They’re Doing.

Chances are once you get a membership to a Carson City health club an in-house personal trainer will try and hard-sell you on their expertise.

Most Carson City Health Club trainers need no accredited certification to be out there on the floor flexing their arms. It turns out for $50 and an 10-min online quiz you can get a fancy sounding certification and title, but they aren’t worthwhile.

Look for quality Carson City Personal Trainers that can guarantee results.

3. Carson City Health Clubs Want You To Pay Forever

If you think getting started on a Carson City fitness plan is tough, try quitting your Carson City health club membership! Trouble canceling gym memberships is one of the top complaints among Carson City gym members.

The big health clubs in Carson City are out to get your money and keep getting it, month after month. They want you to keep paying, but stay home. After all it doesn’t do the health clubs Carson City any good if you come into their gym.

Which in turn doesn’t do you any good if you’re just paying for a Carson City Gym Membership.

4. Your Stuff Isn’t Safe In Carson City Health Clubs

Think your belongings are safe in a big Carson City Health Club? Think again?

A recent report explained how a group of thieves stole over 100 credit cards from lockers of health club members. You can’t be sure who is lurking around the Carson City Health Club locker room while you’re working out.

Now you can’t even bring anything with you to the gym. You just have to carry your keys in your back pocket while you workout in any Carson City Health Clubs.

5. Sales Is The Number One Carson City Health Club Goal

Carson City health clubs try to sucker you in with extremely low-priced memberships.

While that offer sounds enticing, fast-talking and slick sales reps will ensure you leave with no more information and insight, just a brand new long-term “Premium Health Club” contract you tried to refuse.

Don’t read the fine print, it will still apply to your membership and contract. One such website of a large health club promised a 30-day free trial membership. But the catch, if you don’t show up at least 15 times, you’ll be locked into a 5 year membership.

You can’t rely on the Carson City health club sales person, you must be on the defense and know what really matters when you looking for a quality Carson City fitness solution

Don’t fall for the Health Clubs In Carson City gimmicks, look for a quality Carson City Personal Trainer that guarantees results, no matter what condition you’re in right now.

Carson City Personal Training: How To Achieve Any Goal

Uncategorized No Comments »

Do you have unmet goals?

You aren’t alone. In fact, many people live with unfulfilled aspirations and the self-help industry is booming.

Unfortunately, many widely used self-help techniques fail to deliver results.

Case in point: You’ve probably heard of the “Yale Goal Study” in which researchers were said to have interviewed the graduating Yale seniors in 1953, asking whether or not the students had written down specific goals that they wanted to achieve. Then twenty years down the road the researchers looked up each student and discovered that the 3% of the class who had written down their goals had accumulated more personal wealth than the other 97% combined.

Very compelling story, but complete fiction.

The “Yale Goal Study” never happened, though motivational speakers and self-help books have quoted it for years.

Best selling author and psychologist Richard Wiseman went on a mission to craft a no-nonsense response to the bogus self-help techniques. Using a diverse range of scientific data he uncovered a proven approach to achieve any goal.

The following 5 successful techniques (Do This) and 5 unsuccessful techniques (Not That) are from Wiseman’s book, 59 Seconds Change Your Life in Under a Minute.

Do This: Make a Step-by-Step Plan.
If you are serious about achieving your goal, then you need to create a step-by-step plan on how to do it.

Successful goal-achievers break down their overall goal into sub-goals. Each sub-goal needs to be concrete, measurable and time-based.

Not That: Motivate yourself by focusing on someone that you admire.
Studies show that focusing on someone you admire is not a strong enough motivator to see you through your goal.

Do This: Tell Other People About Your Goal.
How badly do you want to achieve your goal? If you want it bad enough, you’ll tell your friends and family.

This technique works on two levels. First, you’ve put yourself on the spot by letting the world in on your goal, so it’s all-eyes-on-you. Failure would be public. Second, your friends and family are there to offer support and encouragement. Don’t underestimate the psychological power of having someone in your corner.

Not That: Think about the bad things.
When you focus on the negative it becomes your reality.

Do This: Focus on the Good Things When Achieving Your Goal.
Remind yourself of the benefits associated with achieving your goal.

Make a checklist of how life will be better once you have achieved your aim. This gets your focus on a positive future, one that’s worth the effort.

Not That: Try to suppress unhelpful thoughts.
Rather than trying to erase that image of chocolate cake from your mind, learn to deal with the reality of temptation head-on.

Do This: Reward Your Progress.
Studies show that attaching rewards to each of your sub-goals encourages success.

Your rewards should never conflict with your major goal. When aiming to lose weight, never use food as a reward.

Not That: Rely on willpower.
Willpower alone rarely gets anyone to their goal.

Do This: Record Your Progress.
Make your plans, progress, benefits and rewards concrete by expressing them in writing.

Use a hand-written journal, your computer or a bulletin board to chart your progress. This process is priceless for maintaining motivation.

Not That: Fantasize about life after achieving your goal.
Daydreaming is fun, but simply fantasizing about your new life will not make it a reality.

Are you ready to achieve your fitness and weight loss goal once and for all? Call or email me now to get started on the process that will put an end to your yo-yo dieting and your fat jeans.

Now is your time to get into the best shape of your life.

This Made Me Laugh: The Fattitudes

Uncategorized No Comments »

This email has been coming to me from the member of my Carson City Bootcamp.  It made me laugh!

The Fattitudes

In the beginning God covered the earth with broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach, withh green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so that Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives. Then using God’s bountiful gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry’s and Krispy Kreme. And Satan said: “You want hot fudge with that?’ and Man said: “Yes!” And Woman said: “I’ll have one too, with sprinkles.”

And lo, they gained 10 pounds.

And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane, and combined them. And Woman went from size 2 to size 14. So God said: “Try my fresh green garden salad.” And Satan presented crumbled bleu cheese dressing and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.

God then said:”I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them.” And Satan brought fourth deep-fried coconut shrimp, butter dipped lobster chunks, and chicken-fried steak—so big it needed its own platter. And Man’s cholesterol went thru the roof.

God then brought forth running shoes so that his Children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan came forth with a cable TV with remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering light and started wearing stretch jogging suits.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonalds’s and the 99-cent double cheseburger. Then Satan said: “You want fries with that?” And Man replied: “Yes! and Supersize ‘em!” And Satan said: “It is good.” And Man and Woman went into cardiac arrest.

God sighed…and created quadruple bypass surgery.

And then…Satan chuckled and created HMO’s.
